Mr. Liu is the Managing Director & Senior Partner, as well as Investment Committee member of ChinaEqutiy Group. He managed the China Renminbi Fund I, the Zhongrui Fund, the Shengxin Runcheng Fund and the Sino-US New Opportunity Fund. Mr. Liu is responsible for major portfolio investments especially in TMT, Culture, Media& Entertainment, Fashion & Consumer Goods, Energy Conservation and Environment Protection sectors, automobile industry as well as cross-border investment and M&A.
Mr. Liu has multi-culture background and experienced both in international and domestic enterprises. He was the former Director of Dow Jones & Company Inc. for the China Region; Chief Representative of INTM Group & VC Fund; Director of Steinbeis Foundation China; Co-Founder, Executive Vice President & CFO of Talent Television& Film Co., Ltd., a leading Media & Entertainment Company listed in China.
Mr.Liu has rich experiences in VC and PE investment as well as cross-border strategic investment and M&A. He was responsible for many well-known investments including Founder Group, Sohu.com, Talent Television & Film, Qiangshi Media, Aston Martin, and some emerging enterprises such as Wine9.com, Juesheng.com, Jusfoun Big Data, iResearch Consulting, NIO Inc and etc. He also helped strategic investors to successfully invest in Goldwind, New Classic Media and etc.
Invited by many of the industrial leading forums and conferences, such as China Venture Capital Forum, Zero2ipo Conference, ChinaVenture Forum, China European Entrepreneur Conference, Sino-UK Investment Forum, China Leading Investors Forum and etc., Mr. Liu, as speaker or moderator, delivering speeches as well as sharing industrial insights; Moreover, Mr. Liu is also invited as professional judge and mentor of several innovative competitions, such as The Ministry of Science and Technology Innovation Competition, CCTV Win China Contest, Dark Horse Contest and etc.
Mr. Liu received his Bachelor of Engineering and Msc in Economy from People's Renmin University of China and MBA degree from Rutgers Business School. He has acquired qualifications of both Independent Director and the Secretary of the Board of listing Corporation in China.
